A Book my install button takes the deposit through your own Stripe account. Start in Stripe's test mode and try every step with a test card before any real money moves. Without Stripe, the button marks the proposal approved and reminds you to call for the deposit.
Your dashboard shows each proposal as sent, opened, approved or paid, and how many times they looked. A paid deposit goes into your books and puts "call to set the install date" at the top of your list, with any care add-ons they ticked.
