Try similar software

Software similar to the one we built for Marshland Partners, not their exact software. Every customer, job and dollar in it is invented; none of it comes from Marshland Partners' data. Pick broker, employer or employee and use it. If it drops you back at the start, pick again.

No software at all. Spreadsheets and a clipboard.

Every quote meant downloading each carrier's PDF and retyping it into a spreadsheet with several tabs. Applications were keyed in by hand, renewals were tracked from memory, and employees signed paper forms on a clipboard.

Two sources of truth made mistakes easy: one group's birth dates came in five years apart, one from the employer and one from the employee.

What we built

Enrollment stops living in email threads and spreadsheets. Broker, employer and employee work from one record.

Every group, prospect to renewal

Stages carry a group from prospect to active, and each stage creates its own checklist and to-dos for the broker.

Reads the carrier quote

Upload a signed carrier quote and it matches the plans and works out the rating area, then waits for the broker to review it.

Employees enroll themselves

Elections, dependents and a drawn signature on the broker's own form, by link or in person. Re-enrollment starts from last year's answers.

Locked down

Sign-in needs a second factor, the most sensitive fields are encrypted, and carrier email goes through an encrypted service built for health data.

Straight to the carrier

Pick the carrier from the directory and send the documents from a template, with delivery status in the Sent folder.

Renewals in one step

Upload next year's rates and move a group onto them, with ages refigured at the renewal date. Employers see next year's total ahead of time.

This is what we built for Marshland Partners. The demo above is similar software on invented data, not their system.

Results

On real groups since September.

The first version was up 14 days after signing, on sample data, so the broker could test every step before anything real went in. Real groups moved in on September 17. When next year's carrier rates arrived in October, plan-year renewal was built the same day the broker asked for it.

“It looks so simple and I absolutely love it.”

What it runs on.

It runs on the broker's own Google Cloud account, so the broker owns the system and the data.
